Just want some ideas on this, I am going to be ordering a mustang touring seat for my 2014 900 custom and am trying to figure out if the addition of the backrest is worth the additional $200? My rides are mostly going to be short day trips, nothing more than 2 to 3 hours. I guess I am asking this more to the ones that bought this seat with no backrest, had you ever wished you had sprung for the one with the backrest?

I have a 900 custom, upgraded to a corbin seat was not sure about a backrest so I bought a $50 ebay backrest that fits corbin. Thought I would try it before shelling out the $250+ for a corbin backrest. I had it on then off now back on again. Definitely makes for more comfortable long rides, I remove the windshield in the spring and the back rest provide additional support reducing strain on the shoulders.

You will love it! Put one on my 2008 Vulcan Classic and it is SO comfortable. It does raise you up about 1.5 inches, but it is so worth the money.
