Which slip on mufflers are quieter the Cobra or V&H twin slash round. I want the little extra power to go with the powerpro but, I don't want loud. I saw that for about $18 you can buy quiet inserts for the V&H which says lowers the noise by 3-5db so, that's a plus for the V&H.

Last I heard, the quiet inserts didn't fit the Twin slash pipes for the 1700s.

The tri-ovals will fit your needs. they are louder but not obnoxious. Very tolerable when cruising. Lookup tri-ovals on you tube and you can hear my pipes.

I've had both on my bike and they both sound pretty much the same, but I felt the Cobra's popped a little more on deceleration than the V&H's. I kept the V&H's primarily because of visual choice, not necessarily sound. V&H's only make baffles for their Harley Slash Cuts......not the metrics.......go figure......
