What could you add to the back of a soft-bagged bike to get more lighting? The brake/running light is pretty bright but doesnt show up well. I just followed my kid riding my bike home at night and wasn't impressed. The light is pretty small.

I have a signal dynamics brake light modulator (flashy thing) already installed.

Is there a little light bar? Would you wire lights onto the soft bags? Or just leave it alone.

On my prior bike (Honda Sabre) I mounted a Custom Dynamics non-sequential Knight Rider light on the backrest . . . It tucked in nicely at the top of mine and looks as though it may tuck in at the bottom of your backrest . . . It gave an additional running light (nice) and brake light with a pre flash.

You can see it at the top of the backrest in the attached picture . . .

Just curious, did you see my thread here:

It's a how-to that adds red lighting into the lollipops.

Also, if you have the passenger back-rest like in the photo, you could do all sorts of stuff to it like:
1. Adding a light bar across the back of it
2. Outline the backrest bracket, license plate frame, etc

3. Swap out a screw for a bullet light, and run it off the rear license plate wiring.

Swap out the passenger foot pegs with lighted foot pegs.

Really, the sky is the limit. That, and your budget and sense of taste.

Thanks for the compliment :)

PM me if you need any pointers or help, since I see we're both in Chitown.
