Mixing Metzeler ME888 on front and ME880 on back of 2007 VN900 Classic ok? They quit making the front in the ME880 and started making the front in the ME888.

they don't make an 888 in the oem rear size.

Should be fine. Have used Donlop 404, and 402 at the same time on my 800. Have also used a Shinko and Dunlop on it. On my Voyager, I had the stock front bBridgestone and a Commander II on the rear til the stock front reached the wear bars.

I have 888s on my 900LT. I put 170/80-15 on the back.

The size change fixed my speedo and dropped a few RPMs while cruising on the highway. I recommend the size change if you haven't changed your pulleys.

Cheers, ...

I have tried 3 different tire brands on the front of my 1500 Vulcan Classic, but still have the same problem. At around 80mph or so the front tire feels like it is bouncing. Also at interstate highway speeds going around curves, it feels a little bit like the bike is wobbling. It is a 2000 model with the spoke rims. Anybody got any ideas or thoughts on what the problem might be?
