MidWinter Startup - Yah or Nah ?

My bike is kept in the garage during the winter months but it's been so damn cold that even the temps in the garage are quite cold. I'm thinking about getting an insulated and thermal door for next winter however, is it really a bad idea to start her up mid winter for a bit?

If you search the forums on here you'll find quite a few discussions on this topic. From what I read on here the answer is just leave it be. Lots of great tips on here as well in regards to how to winterize
my garage is buried in 6ft of snow , had no where else to put it. Last time I was in there she started right up. Don't worry about it.. as long as you had a full tank and stabilizer in it..
If you have winterized the bike, the guru's here say let it sit.
...
The closest to winterizing mine gets is a cover on it when I am not riding it,
but I do live in Texas.
I usually start mine up about every two weeks.Sit on it while it gets up to operating temp with the fan blowing in my face....

Tommy Chong did that in the Cheech and Chong movie Up in Smoke. Except his bike was in the living room and he used a fan and had Steppenwolf "Born to be Wild " on the stereo cranked up. He also had a pipe over the exhaust routed out the window. (There was a quick shot of the black exhaust from the bike covering some huge yellow roses). Also in Cheech and Chong fashion, after he finished his "ride" the neighbor came out complaining that the exhaust from the bike ruined his prize winning yellow roses. Then there was shot of the now black roses........ (Bah hah hah hah)

..
I read his statement and that brought back the memory from the movie and I merely shared it. Other than that is has everything to do with the price of tea in china or plastic or styrofoam or paper or glass.....
LMAO ? ...
On a freezing snow covered NE day this brings out a laugh. Gotta love it!
Thanks guys and gals...

Yeah, I get it now.
BTW I saw that movie too. :) I miss seeing them together and making us laugh.
I liked the part when they where carrying the garbage can full of gas down the street trying to act nonchalant
