Are the 888’s a better tire than the 880’s? Wanting to purchase the 90/90-21 for my 900 Custom, will the 888 still be as wide as the 880? Thanks in advance for all you guys out there!

I read where the 888 has a larger contact area than the 800's. But I've also heard that there are some negative reviews of the 888. I don't know what they are, however.

Look them up and see what reviews there are. That's what I am about to do.

I don't believe Metzeler makes the 880 in right size for the front or rear. I had the 888 90/90 on my Custom once. It's technically too tall. It came within a couple mm of the fender. The only problem I had was dragging gravel along tne fender constantly. It was so annoying I went back to the OEM size; which Metzeler doesn't offer.
