Memphis Shades Bullet fairing?

Has anyone tried applying this fairing to a pre-2007 Vulcan? I am extremely interested in them, but I ride a 2004 vn800. I read they are made to fit 2007-2011 vn900. I wonder how much customization if any would be involved? Any advise or info from anyone who has tried this? Thanks in advance.
