I've been looking to replace the forward riding pegs as I can drag them in the corners a lot. The pegs have a good size nub on the end and of course they drag first during the corners.

If I replace the pegs without that nub, will the bike drag on something else like the pipes, or will I still have enough clearance.

I'm looking to see if others have replaced their forward pegs and not had any problems with the change.

Thanks,
Robert

Ok, I pulled the front pegs off and removed the skid plate attached to the end of the pegs. Those skid plates (or rather nubs) are pretty sturdy.

I'm guessing no one will have an idea, but has anyone ever replaced their footpeg skid plates with something else (shorter)? I get more lean angle on the bike now, but I still drag the front pegs and I'd like to find some hard metal to protect them yet still be thin.

If anyone has ideas, please let me know. I'm going to search various metals and maybe fabricate my own. If so, I'll let everyone know what I find.

Cheers,
Robert
