Hi All,
I have a 2008 Mean Streak Special Edition VN1600 with red frame/wheels and everything else black. Due to the black metal flake SE paint scheme etc I do not want to change out the bucket but somehow make this work.
I plan on installing the Denali M7 DOT LED Headlight Module but I have exhausted my resources and am hoping one of you might help, so here is where I am with this now.

I have contacted Randy at www.engineeredadapters.com and he kindly replied stating that he does not make a ring for the mean streak but given enough requests he might which means I have to look elsewhere for now. His adapters fit pretty much all other Vulcan models so I started doing some research as to what makes the mean streak headlight different from the other models. It comes down to the meanie having different part numbers for the rim, bracket and lamp even though the other models buckets are all different they share those same part numbers as follows:
Mean Streak
23006-0001 Rim
23062-1131 Bracket
23007-1359 Lamp
All Other Models except 1700 Voyager or Vaquero
23006-1081 Rim
23062-1132 Bracket
23007-1396 Lamp
What makes the mean streak headlight/bucket interior physically different? I need to find a way to use Randy's adapter even if takes some metal work.
Any Ideas?

I know this is an old topic but perhaps this might get some brain juices flowing. I started thinking about this again. I was wondering what the difference between the brackets were. After searching, you can visibly see it. The bracket shared by most other Vulcans has an offset to it. I have no clue why they designed it this way. I can't think of a reason they had to design them differently.

Here's the bracket for most of the other Vulcans like the 900, Classic/Nomads, etc.

It looks to be that they mount differently on the lamp. The meanie attaches on the inside of the mount on the lamp while the others mount on the outside. I see that the bowls are different designs as well. I wonder if you can take the entire lamp assembly from the other vulcans, including the bracket and rim, and mount it into the mean streak's bucket?

Yes and it is for the exact reasons you pictured that I gave up on a headlight upgrade which work with anything but the mean streak's tabbed assembly. But since I wiped out hot doggin' it out of work and need to replace the headlight anyways I am going to look at my options. At least I already did my research on it.
