I moved to Japan recently and had to remove my oil for shipping. I need to put oil and gas back in it to get it to it's parking spot. I lost my Manual during the move and I don't know how much or what type of oil I need . Please respond quickly, my bike is parked on the street and it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

About 3 1/2 qts. you'll get different answers on the type. Some run 10/40 in the summer and 10/30 in the winter, some run regular and some synthetic. If you need to move it quick id get 10/40 if its warm there if its not id get 10/30 so I could move it then Id do some research to decide what is right for you long term. Just dont get anything with friction modifiers, could make the clutch slip.

My manual for the 900 Classic says "3.0 L (3.2 US qt) [when fliter is not removed. 3.2L (3.4 US QT) [when filter is removed]. 3.7 L (3.9 US qt) [when engine is completely dry]"

"Recommendeed Engine Oil
Type: API SE, SF or SG
API SH, SJ or SL with JASO MA
Viscsosity: SAE 10W-40"

*Taken from page 91*

Now get it off the street. Its starting to rain...
