My cousin bought herself an '07 900 custom and would like to replace the seat.
I was looking at the saddlemen profiler but before I buy for her I want a little input.
Who has what aftermarket seat and whaddya think?

I'd take my Mustang over my LazyBoy any day.

I have the saddleman renegade and it drops me down and inch and moves me forward an inch, not sure if the profiler does the same . but it took about 500 miles before i broke it in and really felt the difference.

I have a mustang on my classic and wont leave home with out it, on my custom i have a saddleman solo, gel underneath gets a little hot in the summer but its comfortable for me ... not as good as my mustang, but a fair bit better than the stocker .... the mustang's have a deeper "well" and a little more back support, but remember .... one man's pleasure is another man's pain, buy the seat thats best for you.

I have an Ultimate, which replaced my Saddleman, which replaced the stock seat (sic). With 3 bad disks I am exquisitely sensitive to seating. With the stocker, I could ride maybe 30 minutes; the Saddleman, an hour if I pushed it. In both cases I'd be bent over with numb legs for a day or 2. With the Ultimate, no pain to speak of after 3+ hours. The seat is amazing and, IMHO,worth every penny of the extra $$$!

has any one tried the Corbin Dual Tour? I was looking at that but haven't seen any postings on it.
I have one on my Classic and have put around 6k miles on it. I picked it up off craigslist last year and added a single backrest stitched to match the seat. It moves me down/back slightly and the back support even without the backrest is great. Rub a little mink oil on it from time to time to keep it looking new. Mine was already broken in but some people say that breaking in a Corbin is pretty rough.

Edit: To show the difference, here are profile shots of the stock seat vs the Dual Tour.

Every butt is different, but I sure do like my Mustang Wide Touring. The first few hundred miles were stiff, after that, it was incredible! I can ride all day on that seat. Haven't felt uncomfortable since on my bike, I can easily ride tank to tank.

I've got the Mustang Vintage with driver backrest -- I couldn't ride more than 30-40 min on the stock seat, but am fine for a few hours now, no problem. Well worth the $$, I think.

FYI, the Mustang raised me UP by ~1" and BACK by ~1", so I ended up getting the HR2 risers to bring the bars back by ~1-2". This makes the seat-bar relationship roughly the same as stock, which was one thing I did find comfortable with the OEM seat.

Just my 2 cents....

I sent my stock seat to MeanCityCycles.com http://www.meancitycycles.com There they restuffed it with memory foam and it is oh so comfy. Best part is that you know it will fit your bike since it is your seat and it's a LOT cheaper than getting a Mustang. With shipping it was about $200. They have a whole menu of things you can do such as adding gel or heaters too. Again, just my 2 cents.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews. I struggled pulling the plug on spending so much on a seat. However, with that said, I absolutely love my Mustang seat. It took a couple hundred miles to break in, but for me, the added back support made a world of difference on longer rides. Good luck and good riding.
