I just got the bike the other day. I know gas runs out of the carb over flow tube. More gas comes out of the tube at idle than goes into the carbs..lol
Bike still runs decent. I'm guessing something is dirty inside the carbs.

Can i just soak the carbs in carb cleaner and spray back into the carbs to get the gunk out, or do i need to do a rebuild on them. Thanks

They will need a first class cleaning along with the fuel shut off. Pay particular attention to the needle and seat being dirty, worn or both.

I sprayed carb cleaner into the carbs and lines. So far so good. I have to clean and treat the gas tank and then see how the carbs are doing. But as of now, no more gas running out. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

You may be right. No sense in tearing them down untill im sure i need to. If i do need to, i'll take your advice and pay attention.

I've had the same problem

I took the carbs off and cleaned them, it's a pain in the ass. I ended up tearing out the airbox and slapping filters on each carb. I still have to plug all of the other lines. It will haunt if you don't take them off though.
