Monkey Bars for the monkey in you

thems appear to be 12s.. its as big as you can go with stock cables.
I put 12x1.25 Burly Bars on the beast a couple three years ago.. 10s would have been purr'fikt. I got tired of em and gave em to BT for xmas.
Now am sportin some inch' half Punisher drag bars off from my old roadstar. bitchen. poncho

Punishers

XTreme'ly komfortable.. I've kept these for years long after sold my roadstar. They are 100mm center integral risers, I had to modify the v2k top triple to accommodate. They are ~8" rise and 8" pullback.
Tomorrow will dig out mfg part numbers from http://www.phatperformanceparts.com...o_Drag_Bar_Kawasaki_Harley_p/ba-731005-03.htm
these are not the same bars as mine are no longer in production. 1.5" dia are not too popular, $350-400 is watt I rember. and the Punishers have a bigger radius w/more pullback.

this is what i got from cycle ergo, looks like 10in would be good, the pegs are another matter, not willing to pay for forward controls, but have to stretch my legs

m3, skrew the geometree. Get the 12" bars, use yor stok risers. I had no problem with 12s. I am vertically challenged, my feet just bear'ly touch the ground at 68" AFF. If I were any taller would get no traction at all. Seriously, 10s are just 2 higher than stok. Go with the 12s, you will be glad you did.
My buddy rides my old roadstar, he put 16s on it and loves it. poncho
Just for the record: When I put 12" bars on mine, the brake cable was far too tight. If I rotated to allow more slack, the clutch was too tight. That being said, I had bagger bars which hold a different shape than straight 12" bars.

I have a set of 10" on order, I will let you know how they do (pictures included).
I started with 13's rode it for one out of town trip and replaced them with 18's ... yes I had to replace all cables and break lines but well worth it ... I'm 6' to 6.1' and my arms are level. If you ask me the bike handles a lot better and with more comfort.. I ride a lot, I have an 07 classic LT with over 100k miles .. it's been a great bike !

Monkey See.. Monkey Doo?

here are pix of my 12s Burly Bars. stock cables work fine if you route them behind the top triple tree. ther was plenty cable length if I wanted to route the wires inside the bars, just never got ther.. poncho

Here is the bars I had before:

They are wide and they have an angle back from the triple trees. I tried rerouting all the cables too. I think it was the shape of the bars making the physical distance longer. I just wanted to give a heads up.
