Powerstroker here. New Guy. I got my name from where I worked the past 30 years. Mechanic for the Ford Motor Co. Racing team. Worked mainly with the Ford Powerstroke Diesel V8 engines the past few years. Glad to find this site. I am fixing up a nice VN1600 Vulcan I purchased a couple months ago. Just about road ready. Looking forward to see what happens on this site.

Welcome to the forums! I will have to remember you for when my son has problems with his '03 Ford diesel he bought. :)

Thanks, Is his Powerstroke the 7.3 or 6.0 liter engine? They had both that year.
It is the 6.0. His job recently sent him down to Illinois for training and he had to drive. Got up next morning to head over for training and we both learned a new word. "FICM"! That was a costly little repair! :)

Yes the old Fuel Injection Control Module. They usually do not go bad. I wonder what did it in for him. Had to get either water in it or a power surge hit it.
