the kawitick as they call it.

bought the 06 900 a few weeks ago, noticed the tick and read the forums and learned it was normal, but mine is loud so i got the dealer to check the valves for free anyway. they where spot on, but the damn think still is ticks so loud that as im riding all i hear is the tick.

is it normal for it to be annoyingly loud? i feel like im a clunker at times at a red light. any thing that can be done to quit the noise.

tick

Maybe I'm lucky or hard of hearing, but I only notice it when I slow down for a stop light. When downshifting to a crawl is when I wonder, what the heck is that and then I remember.

Synthetic oil helped mine. Loud pipes seemed to cure it completely :D (Or, well, at least I can't hear it anymore).

I was thinking "What "tick/ticking" are these people talking about?"
I guess my slightly loud pipes must be doing a good job! :p
