I know Chinese new years are named after dragons, horses, etc. but I think this year I have seen way to many tar snakes for it to be a coincidence. I ride mostly in central New York where the winter was unusually bad this year. Has anyone else noticed the excess amount of tar snakes around?

What you said. Around here we don't have a lot of pavement snakes, we have pavement canyons still. The budget stuff is getting so bad here the last 2 snows we had this last winter (6"+ accumulation type snows) the state trucks did not spread any salt or gravel, or even come out to scrap them.
