Sad story, picked up bike, bad tires. I was told need to get tires before I ride it, did not think much of it. Long story short, not only bad tires, the clutch will not engage, just slips and won’t go past neutral. It does shift into first, but just revs and slightly moved forward at first bit currently not at all. I’ve read about clutch springs and judge washers. Any way, I’m the proud new owner of a 1992, 1500 that runs has new tires, and won’t move. Any ideas, please feel free to message me. To further complicate matters, looks like I’ll need to trailer the bike home. This does not seem like a simple fix. Does the average mechanic know what spring to replace repair, or should I do it myself and just replace only the spring. Any suggestions on which spring to use. Thanks everyone in advance . Hope it all gets better from here, it’s a beautiful looking bike.
