I'm trying to think how to do that with only 2 prongs. Any ideas?

All to one prong, with white to the other post?!? I believe, because , it's the battery wire. Hooking it up to one pole will turn on the rest once switched..

I did that but what about the gray wire and its resistor

That wire with resistor is part of the "all to one prong".
