I replaced my stator in my 2006 classic this summer and the charging and all that are just fine. I just think a 5 year old battery in the bike is pushing it.

I still ride in the winter. When I arrive at work it's about 20 degrees, warming up to about 36 by the time lunch is here. I use a heated full sleeve under jacket that plugs into the bike, and also have heated grips.

My bike sits in the shade all morning. By noon it barely starts.

Anyway, do they make a better than stock battery with more cranking amps?

What are the recommendations?

Thank you,
