Hello, this is my first bike and my clutch cable snapped while riding, fast forward a little bit and I’ve put the new cable on, and have the bike manual which just says “refer to this chapter for details” annnd I can’t find a measurement anywhere. I’ve heard 3-4mm is a good like general measurement? Does anyone know what it should be?

About the width of a quarter. 2 mm is fine. That's where mine is set.

It kind of also depends on your preference. You want a little free play so that you can be sure the clutch is not engaged with the lever all the way out, but if it's too tight, it becomes pretty grabby, and if it's too loose it takes forever for it to grab.

I adjusted it a bit but haven’t tried it out quite yet, but I like it to stay close to the perch, but it’s a pretty decent pull, I’m going to spray some cable life down it tomorrow
