I got tired of the "meep-meep" factory horn and sprung for a Wolo Bad Boy and the wiring harness. This for my Classic LT.

So, I figured out the mounting of the horn, and the wiring is pretty straightforward, but when I got to the relay, I got a little stymied. (I'm not the most mechanically minded individual).

So the questions:

1. Is it really important that the relay be mounted upright?
2. Is it really important that the relay is in a waterproof spot?
3. Did you mount your relay?
4. Where'd you mount it?
5. Anything wrong with just laying it down in the battery cover / tool box tray?

Appreciate your help!

That's good news!

Thanks...
Mounted my relay left side on frame just behind neck using existing bolt. The wires from the OEM horn will reach that location so no splicing there. All you need then is a fused wire from the battery along the backbone to the relay for power to the contact. From the relay contact then down the frame tubing to your horns. Ground the horns to the frame.

Most relays aren't waterproof. So so steps should be taken to prevent water from getting into it. I too used an existing bolt, but mine was on the right side of the frame, just at the neck. No problems.
