I have a 1996 Vulcan 1500 c. I placed a stage one jet kit in it last year and the jets are 116 both front and rear. This year I replaced the rings because it needed it. Since the rings have been replaced the bike moves at the start but is sluggish in the middle until it hits a certain rpm then it takes off. we checked the timing and for vacuum leaks and nothing is wrong. what else could it be? should I place the old jets back in? Any help would be great thank you!!

Main jets in these two carbs are different. One uses a main from 118-122 and the other a 108- 115.

I am not sure which is which, because I have only had a single carb bike. But I do know that once you tinker with the cabs, it is extremely difficult to properly tune them to work together. You might look up a guy on this forum called Sunny Bob. he knows a lot more about these twin carb bikes than i do.
