I watch the forums a little bit and usually found things and some good help and thought I could maybe get some help on this one. I got a 08 vulcan 900 classic and got stuck in a "pot hole" in a freinds yard. In the attempt of getting it out I bounced off the bike and dropped it. Luckily it was on grass/ fine sand. Nothing was damaged except I am starting to have mirror problems. One of them has a hard time moving and its from sand being behind the ball that the mirror rotates on. I was wondering if anyone knew how to either take the mirror out of the socket or another way of cleaning it.

Thanks for any help

Keep rotating the mirror around to break down the sand, then blow out with air compressor.....that is the only thing I can think of, do not know how they get that irror on the ball in the first place (would be interesting to find out).
