Hello from Toronto (and a question)

I don't have a bike yet but I'll be getting a Vulcan 500 within the next month or so. I haven't been on a bike in about 30 years (my last one was an early 70's Honda 350) and all the Googling I've been doing has pointed me to the Vulcan 500 as a perfect 'get back into riding' bike.
I've been looking at a 2003 Vulcan with only about 9200 KM (5500-ish miles) so the bike hasn't accumulated a lot of riding wear and tear. But I'm wondering if there's age-related aging issues with parts of the bike (other than tires) that should steer me to a newer model.

Welcome to the forums and back to riding!
Thanks! I don't know why I waited so long. All those wasted years! :-(
