Hate my spokes...

I am looking to replace my front and rear rims.....have a '07 900 Classic. It seems to me that as long as I get the same size rim 130/90-16 (front) and 180/70-15 (rear) I should be able to put them on my bike. Has anyone put rims from a 1500 or 1700 on their bike?

Check out rccomponents.com... they make custom wheels for 900 Classics and many others.
Thanks for rccomponents.com....I was looking at some used rims on ebay that were for 1500's and 1700's and wondering if they would fit my baby?
The 1500's and the 1700's use 16 inch wheels. Don't think they would fit without modifying your bike. Maybe could find a solid rear wheel from a 900 Custom used and buy a new front wheel from RC Components.
The bike parts for sale area of this forum has a few 900 custom rear wheels for sale. I was actually looking to do the same thing to my 900 Classic LT to be able to run tubeless tires before I traded up to the 1700 Nomad I have now.
I have a 900 custom rear wheel forsale if someone is interested.

I can tell you the 1700 Nomad front won't work, same size tire but the axle is bigger. 32mm for the Nomad, 26mm for the Classic LT
I would be interested in trading, I have a 2007 classic 900
