hardwire dashcam

So I bought a dash cam for the bike. I'm mounting it on the top of the dash where the windshield meets. I don't have a service manual and havnt sound an answer by searching. So.....before I pull the fairing cover.....is there a good spot in there I can hard wire? Or is running under the tank and seat to the fuse box my best bet?

Picture is unrelated but I just had to show someone.....this was a customers forklift I got to deal with today.

Since you are asking about a fairing, I assume that you have a Vaquero or Voyager? There are accessory connectors in the left side of the fairing that you could probably use.

Here is a link to a site with service manuals for either one: Kawasaski Service Manuals. It has directions for how to remove the storage box on the left side to get to the plug. It's kinda tight in there, but you may not have to take the fairing off.
