Hi All,

On an 04 VN2000 with the cover over the trees and headlight. What would the max base handlebar width be when tightened down in the risers and cover to clear the gas tank on full lock turn. Any experience would help.

thanks,

Gerard

?? trick question? What do you actually need to do?
Hi,

I'll end up having to make the bars I want, challenge is the bike is not in my possession right now (shop, new fenders and lights). So, to make a long story short, measurements for lock to lock with minimal rise say 4" and 7 1/2" center width to fit under the headlight and tree cover. I just don't want to build bars that smack off the tank or speedo in the left or right lock position. Trying to do some pre planning on welds and angles for the bars.

thanks,

Gerard

Handlebar

I see Super Cat. I've got the same "nacelle" light set-up. I went to Phat II risers and cut two hole through the nacell. Best thing i ever did confort wise

Ahh,

I want to keep the "nacelle" in tact and use the existing configration. The goal is to have the new bars use the same mounting but add just a little bit more width to the base. I like the drag Z bar style http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.fmbchopperparts.com/images/chrome%20z%20handlebars.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.fmbchopperparts.com/handlebars-c-13.html?osCsid=0293441d7717e431cc0e6710a7f8dd9a&usg=__N_B75lT6JIcI1U-kSkE8EdCnfxQ=&h=284&w=432&sz=118&hl=en&start=96&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=n5Z-VBPNlHZneM:&tbnh=83&tbnw=126&prev=/images?q=drag+z+bars&start=84&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&ndsp=21&tbs=isch:1, keeping everything under the nacelle without touching the tank or speedo. I've figured out how to angle my cuts to get enough pullback for comfort just not the lock to lock measurements.

thanks,
