Newbie here! Just got a 2012 Classic LT (brand new) and trying to adjust everything to my liking (controls, etc.). Would like to raise the bars a bit but when I tried to loosen the mounting bolts I could not get any of them to budge- was worried I might snap the head off of the bolt! Any advice? Do I need to heat up the risers (possibly breaking some thread locker loose)? Any input is greatley appreciated!!!!!

I've never worked with this stuff myself, but try some heat. There is probably some threadlocker in there. I think factory stuff is using red thread locker for extra grip. Beyond that, it may just be torque-wrenched on there high enough to not come undone by accident. You may have to give it some muscle to get it to spin.

Did you try bumping the ratchet handle a bit with a hammer. That usually works for me, just a few not so hard hits will many times loosen it. I did not notice any Loctite residue on mine when I removed them. I can't imagine them using red on clamp bolts.
