Hello!
I recently disassembled the front fork on my 1996 VN800A to change the fork oil and get the lower forks painted.
Today when I tried to reassemble the forks the ”top” guide bushings (which is supposed to fit in the lower fork) doesn’t fit in the hole, making the oil seal impossible to get down there enough to get the retaining ring down to the place where it ”locks in”.
Has anyone had this problem? Am I supposed to use force (and lots of it) to get the bushings down?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And I apologize for my english, I hope you understand what i mean. 😬
