IIRC, you ground the tach in the headlight bucket when you are slicing wires for the light.

If that is not possible, there "should" be no problem grounding the tach to the frame, but that would not be my preferred method (better to use the ground circuit in an existing wire loom, such as the headlight bucket).

Thanks. The Baron tach does not require any wiring through the headlight. It requires grounding to the chassis and the most convenient place is the coil, since that's where all the other wires route.

Yep, since all the tach wires end up at the coils Ihave grounded mine between the coil bracket and the frame, 2 years ago, everything working fine.
