My wife and I recently completed a 2,800km (1,700mi) trip on our 2006 Nomad equipped with Mustang seats and Phat risers. First long trip for us on this bike, which was purchased last fall. This is the most comfortable trip bike I have owned for the long haul and the wife agrees. Set shocks at 28 pounds, which gave a good ride but stiff enough not to bottom out.

Would fill up around 250km or 155 miles with about half gallon remaining. With Baggers and a Power Commander runs fine on 87 octane in all conditions. Fuel mileage suffers once you start to get much over 70mph or so. Probably some extra drag from the "elephant ear" crashbar covers. Used approx 6 oz of Mobil 1 for the entire trip. No issues whatsoever. Great machine for touring:D May add a Memphis Shades batwing and a tour trunk next year.
