Hey guys
Bought my 2010 Vulcan 900SE used this spring.
I've been getting drips from the over flow.
Dealership said it's from to much fuel and sitting in the sun.
Rarely is the bike sitting still with a full tank.
They checked for any recalls on this issue and found none.
Any thoughts?

Don't fill it past the bottom of the silver "collar" or whatever that thing is inside the tank. I never do and have never had any overflow issues. HTH.

Technically, it's not an over flow, but a breather. There is a valve toward the end of the line that is meant to let air in, but maintain tank pressure. If the the line got filled with fuel during a single over-fill incident, it could be filled with fuel and slowly dripping out. I wouldn't expect this to be a long term issue though. The entire length of the system is probably less than 3 feet, so it wouldn't hold much fuel, but since the valve is designed for in-flow, it might take a while to drain completely.

Have had this happen many times when I have overfilled the tank. If your sitting still pop open the filler cap and it will stop. Them when you start going it will quickly burn off that excess. I guess the only way to prevent it is by putting less fuel, especially when it is hot out.
