Would anybody have an explanation/idea on why a fuel pump would suddenly start working overtime, doing a buzzing noise, and use more power ? (it cuts off 1 green light on my Kuryakyn voltmeter at idle).
Could it be something stuck in it?
Is it a sign for eminent failure?

Bike has 32,000kms
Thanks

My first thought is a plugged filter. However, from the manual:
Pump Screen, Fuel Filter Cleaning
○The pump screen and fuel filter are built into the
pump and cannot be cleaned or checked.
If the pump screen or fuel filter is suspected of clogging
or being damaged, replace it with the fuel pump as a set.

The restriction would be on the output side of the pump, not the input.

But, that being said, are you sure it is not the other way around in you might have a low voltage condition which in turn is causing the pump to make a noise?
