I just discovered that my front tire is over 10 years old. It's also pretty low in tread. Any suggestions for what tire I should use? Durability is about all I need. Handling, noise, fuel efficiency, and comfort are all secondary.

How old is your rear tire?

Any Tire over 8 years old must be replaced due to deterioration.

As for your answer Michelin Commander II

That's actually what I ended up getting on my bike. The shop only carried that tire, and I was eager to keep in the saddle. I'll probably base my next purchase on how well this tire wears. Right now my rear tire is the Bridgestone. It will be interesting to see how these two perform in the coming miles.
