I live in the state of Washington. It rains here a lot and I want to figure out a really good tire to use that I am not over paying for. One that is good quality, will get good miles, and has excellent grip for wet roads when needed. I do a lot of commuting on my bike and poker runs and such. I appreciate any advice and recommendations :)

I really don't want to start a controversy but I have only one word for you "DARKSIDE"
Since I put in mine I've riden for about 3000 miles and the tire still looks like new.
That's the way to get a good price and long tire life.

I'm dark on the back also and have a metzler Radial on the front. Good Tire. But use a radial tire for sure.

@N67: I'm runnin' a shinko 150 up front, just a little wider than stock but my next front tire will go wider, thinking a 170 back tire stalled on front.
I love the fat tire look, I'm trying to figure out how I can go to really wide tire in the back, like a 250-300 wide without doing mayor surgery to the swingarm or the gearbox.
