Hello All,

I have a noise coming from my front pipe which I have determined to be the internal wall of the double walled pipe coming loose. Has anyone experienced this? and is there any way to reliably fix it?, or am i destined for new pipes?

Hi! Most likely it's not the "internal" pipe, that vibrates. It's a decorative cover, that holds onto the grommets with part number 92071-1226

If You still think that is the exhaust pipe itself, be sure to locate the exact problem!

I have verified that it is indeed the internal pipe of the 2 walled headpipe on the stock exhaust.

I think that I will need to buy a set of aftermarket pipes. This Brings me to my next Question...Does anyone know what the difference is between the VN800B 2005 version from the 2004 version? I have been pricing out exhaust systems for it and V&H only makes the cruzersII exhaust up to 2004 and the dealer that I was talking to says they will not fit on a 2005 model. which only leaves the cobra Boulevard slash cuts for my bike. I cannot see a difference in 2 pictures side by side.

What is the verdict on sound with Cobras? any negative/positive feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Yes its the internal pipe.
Do a search on the web site.
It's a known problem!
