I checked with BikesWiki.com and found that the vn800A and a vn800B (Classic) use the same 41mm x 150mm fork tubes. I have checked the part #'s and they are almost identical (except the last 2 digits), I believe the fork legs are different, although they look identical in the schematic parts drawing. The triple tree is also an identical part # for both models, so I was wondering why there is a slight difference in the fork part #'s. I have seen a complete set of forks for a vn800 for sale on ebay, but they are just listed as vn800 forks, with no further info but they are more likely to be off a vn800A.
My bike is an vn800B (Classic), but I believe I can use my 16'' wheel with the vn800A forks, I will just have to fit the wheel bearings and collars from a vn800A 21'' wheel. Can anybody who knows more about this give some further info. I'm pretty sure everything else will fit.
Thanks for any help
