Hey guys,
I own a VN900 custom, but I was wondering if one of you 1500 owners could do me a favor. I need to know the width of the forks from the outside of one fork to the outside of the other, and/or from center to center of the forks. Thanks!

On the 1500's, the carbed and the F.I. forks are different. Also, the Nomad and Classic forks are different. The Drifter has a fork like a Classic F.I., and I'm not sure what the Meanstreak uses. I'm not sure what difference in that measurement all of this will make, but it means you may get a range of answers.

My 2001 Drifter is about 30cm from outside to outside if that helps.

Thanks for your response. The reason I was asking is I found a fairing that is made for what I just realized is for a 1600 not a 1500 as I originally thought and I want to adapt it to my 900 for my bagger project. The fairing attaches to the 1600's stock fork windshield fork brackets which I thought were the fork tube style like the 900's but I was wrong about that too. Looks like I'll probably have more fabrication to do once it arrives.
