So i know this is a very simple thing, but it made a huge difference for me.

I picked up a 2004 vulcan 1600 last week and love the bike but the handlebars seemed way too close. I'm 6'4" with extra long arms, and the bike came with scootworks 4x2 risers that brought the handlebars way too close. After doing some looking around online I decided to try reversing them to maintain the rise, but move the bars a couple inches toward the front of the bike, instead of back towards me.

After making the change, the bike fits me way better! I can't say i'm used to the look of the reversed risers, but am happy that it feels way better and i'm not having to slouch and lean back in my seat to be comfortable.

Good Job !!!

TheDutchman84!,
That's one of the MOST important aspects of riding...
The ergonomics of making the bike fit YOU...
So often times riders will say they need to "get used to" a bike...
That is true to an extent, but you can do a LOT to adjust things to your liking and comfort...

Good Job !!!
Very Cool !!!

Ride On !!!
