So it looks like the R&G Tail Tidy and that thin, cheap LED strip are the main options available. The Puig Fender Eliminator Kit is apparently compatible with the KVS, but I've never seen any photos of it on our bike.

I'd use the Tail Tidy, but dislike the tail/brake light shape and size. R&G states that I must use the included tail light. Has anyone managed to fit a different light in its place?

I was planning on using a Koso Infinity when I was going to do mine.

Pretty much.
Finding a good quality one with a license plate lamp built in can be a challenge

i am planning on using a harley sportster tail light, signals mounted to the fender trim, and led spotlight license plate bolts.

any aftermarket signals would work, then you just need any generic plate holder. preferably metal.

Odd, because I've seen them on at least half a dozen KVS bikes. I'm sure it needs a little tweeking, but it looks better than the R&G to my eye.
