I'm looking to put a real small fairing on my bike sort of like the fairing that Jax Teller has on his Dyna in SOA...i really dont like the batwing thing and i've seen the smaller version of that but i think it comes back wayyyyy too much for my taste...people say its a Arlen Ness fairing but im wondering if i could make it work on my 09 Custom 900??? Its not so much that i'm trying to pose as a HD i just really like Jax's style of fairing...thanks for the help!

Have you checked out Memphis Shades? They have a small bullet style fairing for metric cruisers. Should give you the look you want. They have a pic with the fairing on a 900 custom, looks really nice.

Thanks for the help i have seen that one but i feel as if the see through smoke is really long or far back...do you think i'd be able to cut it down so it doesnt look like hair blowing in the wind haha

I have heard of folks cutting down a windshield, but have not done it myself. I know the flip is different as to help with air deflection. I am sure there are other compaines out there that may make a bullet fairings. You may have to search a bit.

As for modifying the Arlen fairing, it looks narrow for what brackets it may take to make it fit.

So I was about to pull the trigger on this fairing

https://www.maier-mfg.com/catalog/large-sport-fairing-round-headlight

Here is a pic of it from a victory forum on an 8 ball

http://www.victoryforums.com/showthread.php?t=14044

But I wanted to see if anyone had some experience with Maier?

It seems like the closest fairing I could find without the bullet fairing from MS

Do you think the gloss black vs the stock black/blue flake of the bike will look dumb?

Thanks
The Maier fairing looks good, but it says it's for 7/8" handlebars and 7" headlights - doesn't the Vulcan have 1" handlebars and a 9" headlight?

Im not 100% sure...I sort of assumed a universal fairing would have a very common size for both...seemed like 7" was the most common headlight size...I measured it and it seemed like it was 7" unless I measured the wrong part....I didn't look at the handlebars...

Anyone else know the dimensions of these parts?

Does not the victory have flatter handlebars, a la sport touring style ..

you would have to check measurements and check the brackets for the handlebar clamps ... are they adjustable. Check the company return policy, you may be able to buy it, check the fitment to your bike, if is NFG, then return it. I like the look on the victory.

BTW ... people thought the 9's front wheel looks offset ....
