To paint my fairing and bags, 2 tone with pin striping, solid color on the inside of the fairing $599.00 ... that was a few years ago. I run a 9" shield on my classic and a 5" shield on my custom ... both offer superior protection to the hands and body, especially with the fairing lowers. The larger (higher) shield offers more body and head protection. I ride if its raining, down pouring or cold .... the fairing does the job for me.

Whiting I'm so jealous of your bike. That batwing looks perfect on there. I was a little concerned about the way the MS Batwing fit on the vulcans, but it was your bike that changed my mind. I'm getting on thus summer. I have to.

I got it from a on line company at Bikerhaven.com ... they called it the "bikerhaven" fairing ... it was cheaper than M/S but it did come with Memphis shades hardware ... I think it was a Memphis shades oem fairing ... and they were trying to get around the price controls that Memphis shades puts on its dealers.

here is a couple of links to more fairing pics ...... http://s945.photobucket.com/user/whiting57/library/batwing%20fairing%20pictures?sort=3&page=1 and http://s945.photobucket.com/user/whiting57/library/whiting57%20VN%20900%20completed?sort=3&page=1

How well does the fairing shield your hands from wind? I ride in below-freezing temperatures & I'm trying to protect my hands from wind. The heated grips & my mittens can only do so much...
