Just got a 2013 vn900 Classic with the big three on it. The powerpro black is a model that is not adjustable except by bluetooth with phone.
Problem is that their app won't work with new Android phones.
The bike runs great, super smooth and sounds great.
I only notice the occasional decel pop sound, but the sound doesn't bother me....actually sounds kinda cool.
But is that popping hurting the engine in any way?
Thanks for any advice / suggestions you can give me.
Pic to show what model of powerpro is on the bike.

The short answer is no. Could some of it be adjusted out? Probably. But the occasional decel pop is not hurtful in your situation. Check your plugs occasionally for signs of premature fouling, that will tell you much more of what is going on and if it is running rich.

popping in the exhaust does no harm to motor, to cease the popping your fuel processor needs to add more fuel to the idle bucket

So the popping sound is from unburned fuel...running a little rich? Thanks!

popping is not from running rich but from running lean

Decel popping is caused by the detonation of unburned fuel in the exhaust pipe. This happens with high flow exhausts that allow more fresh air to be pulled into the pipe, causing the exhaust temperature to rise and detonate any unburnt fuel.
in answer to your questio….Not always. That’s why I said the short answer. There are too many variables and science going on to give you every possible answer. However… checking your plugs occasionally will help to tell you if you do need to make an adjustment of any sorts. BTW..the decel pop is not always from running lean as btom suggest. Sometimes fuel is added and sometimes reduced in the programming to adjust it out. Just depends on the motor, exhaust, timing, and several other factors.
