Going to change the belt on my bike and never done this before, so what size socket do i need, it doesn't tell you in the service manual, i know its a 12 point but what size? Anyone know.

Thanks Smedlin, i grabbed a 27mm from our local tool shop on loan yesterday, if it doesn't fit i can take it back and exchange it for a 30mm, wouldn't think it would be bigger than that, in any case i can just buy the one i need.

Ok the correct size socket to remove the pulley nut is a 32mm 12 point or a 1 1/4 12 point, both are a nice snug fit.

Sorry I didn't respond.. the wife has been sick.

make sure when you put the pulley back on, to use some of that moly-whatever grease.. that's pretty important.

A lot of people reuse the "bent washer".. I simply get new ones for like a buck each. Your local kawi dealer should have a bunch in stock.
