I have a windshield and just installed lowers and I noticed more heat from the engine. Is that my imagination, was it weather related? Your thoughts.

Nope, not your imagination. You just created a "blanket" for the heat!

The lowers have a side affect of blocking some of the air flowing over your legs. That means stale air that heats up!

That said, the 900 doesn't get very hot. What year is it? The coolant should be changed every year or two; an often ignored maintenance item. There's not a ton in there like there is in your car, and it breaks down. (should be flushed in your car every few years too anyhow).

Switching to synthetic oil keeps it running a bit cooler too. So will a fuel processor, making it run less lean.

I never thought about the stale air (side affect). I have felt the heat when in stop and go traffic. Not so much when in constant motion. But, will take that over head buffeting any time. :D
