There was a recent post on this. One of the responders suggested this item, a slip on backrest www.comfortzoneride.com . I checked their website, and unfortunately they are out of stock. I did send an e-mail saying I was interested and would they inform me when in stock again. They said they would. You can check out the website, and if interested, can follow my lead. Good luck.

I think grasshopper is worth a shot for a Voyager. Unfortunately they can’t make a system for the 900 with the one piece seat, so I usually suggest comfort zone for those. Not many good choices unless you do an aftermarket seat with the backrest option. For the money, Grasshopper seems like a good option for two piece seats though
I have the Grasshopper on my Nomad. Here's a link to their webpage: VoyagerGrasshopper.

It's inexpensive compared to other options and very easy to install. Quick to remove as well. I've had it for about 9 years and still looks new.

I had a Bakup on my Voyager. Pricy but well constructed. Sold it after I got a Saddleman Tactical Bag for the rear seat...built in backrest! Bakup Fully Adjustable Driver Backrest Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Nomad / Voyager 2009-2019 | JPCycles.com

A drivers backrest was the very first non-stock thing I bought for my Vaquero, and hands down is the best investment I’ve made so far. I went with the quick release adjustable model from E.D. Motorcycle seats. I’m not sure if the Voyager has the same/similar seat as the Vaquero, but you could always inquire if they don’t show one. It’s expensive, but what price can be out on a comfortable long ride? Welcome to E.D.Motorcycle Seats Aftermarket Motorcycle Seats and Backrests

I'm thinking about getting the Grasshopper for my 2013 Nomad. Is there any adjustment forward/back like the driver backrests on Mustang seats? I've got short arms and had to put some spacers on the adjusting bolt of the last Mustang backrest I had. I don't mind doing that again, but was just wondering if it is even possible or is the backrest a rigid design? Thanks.
grasshopper is rigid.
I have one on my Nomad. I put in my vise and persuaded it to fit better.

Like @Sixth Gear says, no adjustment. The Grasshopper actually has a little bounciness to it, which I like. To adjust mine I cut a slit in an old stump in my backyard with my chainsaw, then I slip the seat's support in it and persuade it. Over the life of mine I only had to adjust it twice (9 years), so it holds up well.
I have a grasshopper on my 21 vaquero. Does the job.

I have the Grasshopper for my Vaq. I think they made the steel thicker awhile back and it's less bendy that it used to be though it does have a little give if you lean back on it. I'm happy with it, especially for the price compared to the other options.
I like it. Helps alot with my back pain.

just ordered one myself, same bike too :)

how's the backrest been? how far forward do you have it?
Backrest is good. I left it the way it was. That is the way it fit in the slit of the stock seat. Feels good there.
