Hey all!
Like the title says, do you have to drain the oil to remove the engine covers? On the 900, what looks like engine side covers are actually engine side-cover covers. You can pop them right off and a metal cover is below them. No need to drain the oil. Is that the case with the 1700 platform?
Reason I'm asking is I'm thinking about swapping the blacked out parts on the Vaquero with chrome ones and seeing if I can find a local Nomad/Voyager owner willing to do the swap. But I want to know if that's going to require draining the oil or not.
