Here's my custom rectifier cover i built from scratch. I used the sheet metal from my smoker which i wasn't using anymore.

Would like to see, get real tired of re-painting OEM.
Only thing holding me back is tooling to cut/drill Hvy ga.Stainless that I have on hand

Based on a fin-by-fin analysis of the cover, it looks to be blocking about 70% of the airflow of the original cover.

Given this, the reg/rect will run significantly hotter than stock which will mean it will have a significantly shorter life.

i'll see how it goes, if it doesn't work, i'll change things.
Also i live in Nova Scotia, and it never gets really hot

Rectifier relocated

I didn't like the location of the rectifier or the horn so I relocated them both. I just took the wiring and checked to see how far I could move them. Ended up mounting the rectifier to the outside of the frame (lower engine mount bolt) on the left by the toe shifter. I drilled holes in what is now the front and back of the cover for increased air flow.
