common problems of 1500 Nomads?

Hey guys, I ride a 2011 Vaquero, but a friend of mine is looking at a 2000 Nomad with 26,000 miles. Are there any common problems to look out for? Does this bike have the same problem with 2nd gear like the older 1500's? Thanks for any info you can give me?

The 2000 and up year models are pretty darn bulletproof. POGs were replaces with steel starting in 2000, so that won't be an issue. Once it has over 30-40k miles, it may need cam chain tensioner extenders, but that's an easy fix.

Other than that, the most common problem is the owners who get on them and start riding frequently don't want to come back!:D
