Help! I'm replacing my clutch wire on my vn800. I'we just rode it for a small test drive after i bought it, and the clutch was ok. Now it looks to me that the clutch arm goes way too far before it engadges. Is the clutch worn out? How far does your arm go?

Loosen the cable until there is some play in the clutch lever on the handlebars. If it slips than that's a sign your clutch may be worn out. Of not, than your clutch cable was too tight. If the bike creeps when the clutch lever is fully engaged the cable might be too loose, or you have sticky clutch plates.
